Getting Prepared - We now have a minivan...

This past week Mike and I have been getting things in order and have gotten a lot accomplished. Last Tuesday night we took a drive to Carmax in Modesto to check out a Toyota Sienna we had seen online. Mike, myself, and my father had done our research on the best minivan for families with triplets. The winners always came out to be the Toyota Sienna and the Honda Odyssey. Once we saw the Toyota Sienna, we understood why. It seats 8, meaning it has 3 full seats in the second row. This is what really sold us (knowing that we could keep three babies close and not in the rear row of the minivan). Plus, the backseat folds down completely flat for tons of cargo space (a must when we have to cart the triple stroller and who knows what else!) Carmax was very easy to work with and we drove away in it that night. It drives like a dream.

Over the weekend we started our baby registry. Being first time parents it can be confusing trying to figure out what we need. It really becomes a challenge trying to translate that into 3 and determining what is actually necessary. Thank you Kim for modifying a baby registry list for us (Kim has twins, so she has been there and done that!) We also got to spend some time over the weekend with our friends April and Ryan and their adorable newborn Addison. This coming weekend Mike and I will be babysitting for them and we can't wait.

On the homefront we have been picking the paint color for the nursery, Mike has been installing ceiling fans, we figured out the configuration for our new "smaller" bedroom, and we are creatively coming up with ways to make more space. I get worn out easily so I am trying to limit myself to just a couple activities a day.

Yesterday, the babies were kicking so hard that we actually saw it. They were very active for some reason. To me it felt like having muscle spasms all over my stomach. Soon I will start to see elbows flying as they fight for space.
